Scribblers combine prog rock excess with 1970s power pop ear Candy. Like other Texas luminaries Doug Sahm and Billy Joe Shaver, Aubrey's lyricism combine heart felt sincerity with self reflective humor. Modular synth Wizard Jared Hooker gives the music a sophisticated, harmonic language, creating the perfect backdrop for Andy Burns' incendiary lead guitar. Drummer Joe Exposito and bassist Steve Streit dutifully serve the song providing a firm back bone to these rock 'n' roll gems
