Jay Nash brings his intimate, soul-deep connection to The Egremont Barn on Wednesday, October 16 at 7:30 PM—a night of storytelling, masterful musicianship, and songs that have touched audiences around the world. Tickets are just $35, a small price for an evening with an artist whose music has been called healing, heartfelt, and timeless. “Writing and singing songs is my connection to the rest of the world,” Nash says. “Nearly every opportunity I’ve ever had stems from standing on a stage with my guitar, singing for folks. My aim now is to do for someone what Jerry Garcia’s guitar, Bob Dylan’s words, and Cat Stevens’ voice once did for me—make them feel connected to everything that has ever been and everything that ever will be.”
“It’s a bit of a paradox. I still feel like an up-and-coming singer-songwriter, with my most exciting days just in front of me,” says Jay Nash. “It’s funny because I have been writing songs and singing for my supper for almost 25 years…crazy how time flies when you’re having fun. Still, I am as excited as ever for the next song, the next record, and the next gig.” Over his self-described “under the radar” career, Nash’s rough-hewn voice, poignant melodies, and subtly virtuosic guitar style have carried him across the U.S. and Europe countless times. He’s released seven full-length solo albums, four solo EPs, and ten collaborative projects with the likes of TFDI, The Contenders, Garrison Starr, and Caitlin Crosby—racking up tens of millions of streams and selling over 70,000 records. Off the road, he’s scored three feature films, a Dutch TV series, and dozens of national ad campaigns. Still, everything comes back to the man and his guitar.
