Singer-songwriter Max Gomez grew up in Taos, New Mexico, steeped in the rich country-blues traditions of the Southwest. That early influence shaped a songwriting voice both cosmic and grounded, earning him critical acclaim with his debut Rule The World (2013, New West Records) and follow-up EP Me and Joe (2017, Brigadoon Records). The latter included “Make It Me,” a modern folk classic that has since racked up more than 4 million streams on Spotify.
Raised in a vibrant community of troubadours—including mentors like Michael Martin Murphey and Ray Wylie Hubbard—Gomez honed a style that blends the grit of Americana with timeless folk storytelling. Along the way, he has shared stages with legends such as James McMurtry, Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, John Hiatt, Jeff Beck, and even Johnny Depp, cementing his place among Americana’s rising voices. His upcoming album Memory Mountain, due this summer, further establishes his role as one of the genre’s most compelling new songwriters.
Catch Max Gomez live at The Barn on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, for a special night of heartfelt Americana, country-blues grit, and songs destined to linger long after the last chord fades.
