In the six years since signing to John Prine’s Oh Boy Records, Kelsey Waldon has become one of Americana’s most admired voices, earning acclaim for her “self-penned compositions [with] the patina of authenticity” (Rolling Stone).
Now touring behind her new album Every Ghost, Waldon brings her most personal, unflinchingly honest songs to The Barn. Backed by her band The Muleskinners, she delivers a show steeped in healing, humility, and hard-won growth.
Songs with Soul & Substance
Recorded at Southern Grooves studio in Memphis, Every Ghost explores grief, addiction, generational trauma, self-reflection — and ultimately, self-love. From the powerful opening track "Ghost of Myself" to the introspective "My Kin", Waldon shares stories that are raw, relatable, and rooted in real experience.
“There’s a lot of hard-earned healing on this record,” she says.
“I’ve learned to love even the past versions of myself — because she was trying as hard as she could, and doing a damn good job.”
Compassion Runs Deep
Whether it’s the haunting “Falling Down,” the tough-love anthem “Comanche,” or the tender ache of “Nursery Rhyme,” Waldon’s characters aren’t broken—they’re just finding their way. And in each song, there’s a deep compassion that shines through.
“You’ve got to stay humble, have gratitude, and protect your peace,” Waldon says.
“I’m willing to break these cycles. I’m willing to grow. I’m willing to evolve.”
