Atlanta-based pianist and composer Aaron Lehrian brings his jazz trio to Churchill Grounds for an evening of original music that explores the intersection of jazz, classical music, and impressionistic influences.

Lehrian's compositions occupy a space that is both expressive and understated. Rich in melody, color, and nuance, his music draws on the harmonic language of classical music while embracing the spontaneity and improvisational spirit of jazz. Many of his pieces take the form of musical character studies, capturing a particular mood, impression, or idea through evocative harmonies and carefully shaped melodies. The result is a deeply personal approach to jazz that places an emphasis on storytelling, atmosphere, and musical exploration.

A graduate of the University of North Florida with a degree in jazz piano, Lehrian was the 2014 winner of the Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition. His debut recording, A Joyous Opus, received a four-star review from DownBeat magazine. Now based in Atlanta, he brings his distinctive voice to the city's jazz community.
