Hell Yes Fest is BACK for its eleventh year of insanely good comedy featuring local favorites and traveling comics from across the country. 

Shows take place at seven venues in New Orleans, but Comedy House New Orleans—our city's ONLY full time comedy club—is HYF headquarters and the mainstage venue all week long. 

HYF 11 features over 100 comedians with our favorite locals opening and closing every single show.

Open Mic From Hell is a spectacle. An absurd, raw celebration of comedy’s potential. It is THE staple show to see for New Orleans comedy fans, a favorite weekly spot for comedians of all skill and experience levels, and a delightful surprise for out-of-towners looking for a great comedy experience.

Open Mic From Hell is a hybrid stand up comedy show and bizarre performance art that exists on the fringes of comedy shows, legions away from traditional open mics. Comedians sign-up to perform, are randomly called on stage, and presented with a challenge to be incorporated into their set: Do your set as a TED Talk presentation. Do your set with a designated heckler in the audience. Do your set outside on the street where you can't hear the audience reaction. Challenges rotate weekly.

Host and show creator Chris Trew’s lightning quick humor and unmatched production skills leads Open Mic From Hell audiences on a joyfully bombastic journey from the moment he hits the spotlight. This show is a whirlwind of unpredictable discoveries. Hilariously enchanting and endears fans to both the brave comics on stage and to the freedom comedy chaos creates.
