Faris Hytiaa and Conner Christmas combine their talents in a one of a kind Stand up show. Together they take the stage to joke broke, and joke woke.
Broke - "to not have enough of something you want/need. Antonyms - Rich, Plenty, Wealthy"
Woke - "an elevated mind state of social awareness. Antonyms - sleepin' on, ignorant"

About Faris Hytiaa:
Born in Toronto to Sudanese parents and then raised in Alberta, Faris brings a unique mix of storytelling and observational humour to the stage. Known for his relaxed delivery and quick wit, his unpredictable style makes for big laughs and unforgettable crowd work moments.
In just 2 years in stand-up, Faris was featured at Yuk Yuk’s, Just For Laughs Vancouver and Sled Island 2022. Faris then partnered with Telus STORYHIVE to film Telus' first ever comedy special, SEND HELP, released in February the following year. After releasing the special on YouTube in 2023, Faris was named as a New Face of Comedy with Just For Laughs, showcasing at the festivals in Montréal and Toronto. He’s toured all over Canada and has worked with major acts including Dulcé Sloan (The Daily Show w/ Trevor Noah) and Neal Brennan (Netflix, Chappelle Show).
You can hear Faris on the Just For Laughs: Originals album, Substitute Teacher Energy, now playing on Sirius XM and available on all streaming platforms.

About Conner:
Conner is a born and raised southern Albertan. Growing up in High River, Conner graduated in 2012 and went to U-Lethbridge, where his artistic pursuits began. In 2017 Conner received their BFA in performance —— and would have graduated with honors, but chose to roast the president of the school while hosting a fundraiser the same year.
Since moving to Calgary, Conner has quickly grown as an artist presence; performing with several theatre companies, including Theatre Calgary. In addition to theatre, Conner has been featured as principal roles for Netflix’s Black Summer, Joe Pickett, CBC’s Fortunate Son, and Under the Banner of Heaven, on Hulu/Disney+.
Conner’s stand up has taken him all across the country, headlining, as well as opening for some of the best comics in the country, and recently being feature as a New Face of Canadian Comedy at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. They have also performed on the Craft Island Comedy Festival 2 years running (2021/22)
