The Open Mic From Hell is the most unique night of comedy in New Orleans.

Everything about the show is chaotic and unpredictable in the most beautifully hilarious way. 
 
The list of performers? A total mystery. 
 
The jokes they’ll tell? Nobody knows, not even them. 
 
How does it work? Comedians sign-up on the list an hour before showtime. At least 13 names get pulled out of the bucket. 
 
When a name gets pulled they come on stage and make a choice - do they do an entirely new set based on words from the audience, or a special challenge set. 
 
Past challenges have had comics doing their set outside on the street, with noise canceling headphones on, and with a designated heckler in the crowd. We are always adding new, improved, and ridiculous challenges to the show.

Chris Trew has been featured on 90+ comedy, music, and film festivals across North America. 

He’s been on more than 20 comedy tours with various projects, most notably as the host for the wildly popular Air Sex World Championships. He’s won “best New Orleans comedian” multiple times and been featured on the cover of both The Austin Chronicle and The New Orleans Gambit for his work spearheading the local comedy scenes.
 
He’s done comedy with WWE superstars and NBA players and been featured on MTV and America’s Got Talent. He’s written 3 books, created over 50 original comedy show formats, and produced over 10,000 comedy shows. Thousands of people have taken his improv classes.
