Original. Undead. Funk... Questions?

Here Come the Mummies is an eight-piece funk-rock band of 5000 year-old Egyptian Mummies with a one-track mind. Their "Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave" is sure to get you into them (and possibly vice versa).

Since their discovery HCTM has been direct support for P-Funk, Al Green, Mavis Staples, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Cheap Trick; rocked Super Bowl Village; become a regular on The Bob and Tom Show; played massive festivals like Summer Camp, Common Ground, Voodoo Fest, Musikfest, Suwannee Hulaween, and Riverbend; and sold tickets by the thousands across large swaths of North America.
Maybe that’s why the ladies (and some dudes) can’t stop losing their minds over these mayhem-inducing mavens of mirth.

Some say they were cursed after deflowering a great Pharaoh’s daughter. Others claim they are reincarnated Grammy-Winning studio musicians. Regardless, HCTM’s mysterious personas, cunning song-craft, and unrelenting live show will bend your brain, and melt your face. Get ready, for Here Come The Mummies.
Sun Stereo delivers a full sensory explosion incorporating a hybridization of organic and electronic elements blended with circus-esque performance art, orchestral strings, and a funk your face off horn section delivering a message of acceptance, hope, and love.   In the last 10 years they have developed a fierce following and established themselves as a must see live show, reminiscent of a wedding reception on acid (sans the chicken dance.) They also have performed tribute sets for special festival sets as The Beatles(Gentlemen of the Road Tour/Summer Camp 2012-2015), The Doors(Summer Camp 2016), and The Flaming Lips (Summer Camp 2018).  They have performed at numerous festivals, including Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road Tours in Ohio, Illinois, and Iowa, 10+ years at Summer Camp Music Festival, North Coast Music Festival, Mountain Music Festival, Peoria Blues and Heritage Festival, The Taste of Randolph Street, The Werkout Festival, Navy Pier, Shoefest, Pygmalion Festival, SOHO Music Festival, Illiac Music Festival, Merchant Street Music Festival, Dixon Petunia Festival, Down on the Farm, Urbana Sweetcorn Festival, and Taste of Champaign. They have shared the stage with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, The Wood Brothers, Here Come the Mummies, Andy Frasco & the UN, EOTO, Keller Williams, The Werks, The Apache Relay, Waydown Wanderers, The Main Squeeze, This Must Be the Band, UV Hippo, Those Darlins, Henhouse Prowlers. Euforquestra, Jon Wayne and the Pain, J.C. and the Uptown Sound, Digital Tape Machine, and Mike Dillon Band (Primus).
