A talented singer/songwriter,
accomplished graduate of Berklee College of Music,
and seasoned touring artist,
Gary's guitar-playing abilities are a pleasure to watch and hear.
His musical talent has been seen by thousands
as he has opened shows for Emmy Lou Harris,
Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Buddy Miller, and Sam Bush.
As an accomplished songwriter,
he has written for acclaimed publishing companies
including Sony ATV and Edisto sound.
His songs have been recorded by both domestic and international artists.
His "Where the Wheels Meet the Road" recorded by the group Continental Divide.
Gary's writing talent is front and center on his own album release, "There are Times".
As part of the Americana duo Runaway Home,
his songs carry the essence of John Denver's writing style and delivery.
Runaway home has released three records and garnered several songwriting awards,
including the Napa Valley New folk award
and the coveted Kerrville TX New Folk award.
They have shared the stage with Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul and Mary,
Michael Johnson, "Bluer than Blue" and Bill Danoff, co-writer of "Country Roads".
In addition to his contribution to Runaway Home,
Gary had always been a fan of Chet Atkins style of guitar playing.
When touring halted due to the pandemic,
Gary focused on developing this style of playing,
as well as his existing classical guitar skills.
Spending every free moment practicing,
he learned traditional and contemporary pieces
along with composing original pieces of music.
A natural born perfectionist,
he honed each piece until his performance was flawless.
This love of guitar playing continues to inspire him
to add to his musical repertoire as a classical guitar performer.
Gary is now utilizing this talent to entertain for corporate and private events.
Gary resides just outside of Nashville,
where he lives with his wife of 30 years, Alison.
Together they have two sons; and he enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits,
including kayaking, scuba diving, hiking, biking, grilling, and maintaining his black belt status.
