Tameca Jones, The Empress of Austin Soul, burst onto the Austin music scene in 2005. In her 20 year career in the industry, she has sold out countless venues and played the highly coveted Austin City Limits and SXSW Festival. Tameca shared stages with multiple Grammy Award winner Gary Clark Jr., Leon Bridges, Shakey Graves, and many other prominent artists.
Her single “Sandman” was featured in the hit Hulu show “Black Cake” and has over 500,000 streams. Her songs have also been placed in “Walker Texas Ranger” and feature films.
In 2024, Taméca released her debut album,” Plants and Pills.” The album was produced and written by her and co-produced by longtime collaborator Grammy Award winner Jonathan Deas. A two time winner of best vocals in the Austin Music Awards, her album earned her nominations for best album and songwriter at 2025 Austin Music Awards.
