Diet Lite have found themselves at the forefront of a burgeoning young Midwest DIY scene that continues to gain momentum. Over the years the band has become a musical force to be reckoned with, playing hundreds of shows across the country, packing out grimey basements and storied clubs alike along the way. Diet Lite’s most recent LP, Into The Pudding, captures the essence of the high-octane, no-holds-barred live show and unrelenting verve the band has come to be known for.

"SHOOBIE pull off one helluva balancing act. The music and the lyrics can feel so ominous and yet it’s hard to listen without smiling (and even more difficult when you see them play). Genres only exist to make stuff easier to package and sell. If you were trying to sell SHOOBIE, you might say they’re a punk band or throw out the constantly-overused psych label. One of the great things about SHOOBIE is that every time you see them play or put on one of their records, they prove how meaningless those labels are. SHOOBIE are all of those things and none of them. True enjoyment comes when you stop trying to pin them down and just listen. As soon as you ask “was that just jazz?” or “Is this surf metal?” you take a step away from the space the band occupies, the space they are inviting you into... and realize that WE ALL COME FROM THE SAME PIT."
