This wonderful, hilarious, and family friendly show will run for three performances: Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16 at 7:00pm and Sunday, September 17 at 2:00pm.
One of Gilbert & Sullivan's best known works! HMS Pinafore was an international sensation when it debuted in 1878 and enjoyed the second-longest run of a musical theatre piece at that time. The story takes place about the Royal Navy ship, the HMS Pinafore, and revolves around the captain's daughter falling in love with a lower-class sailor. The opera pokes fun at the British social classes, politics, and, of course, the Royal Navy. This classic has captivated audiences through the years with its topsy turvy twists and turns, well-known melodies, and unforgettable characters.
Directed by Jodi Marcum and conducted by Mark Ring, this production will feature outstanding local performers with a small chamber orchestra.
