5 Pound Horse has built a regional and international buzz with electric live shows where anything goes — French-language ballads, banjos, marimbas, and melodies that travel from Africa to Ireland and everywhere in between. They’ve lit up MASS MoCA’s FreshGrass Festival, rocked Pittsburgh’s Thunderbird Music Hall and James Simon’s sculpture studio, and hosted legendary throwdowns at their own BarN in Williamstown, MA. In 2024, they even toured Europe as a combined force with The Durgas.

Now, with plans to record their first EP with producer Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, etc.), 5 Pound Horse rides into The Barn in Egremont on Thursday, September 19 at 7:30 PM.
