Top Bluegrass Band to Headline Silver Dollar Showroom Session on August 6th

The next Showroom Session at the iconic Silver Dollar Showroom at The Wort will feature bluegrass heroes The SteelDrivers on Thursday, August 6.

The quintet, which celebrated their 20^th anniversary last year won the GRAMMY award for Best Bluegrass Recording, in 2015, for The Muscle Shoals Recordings. They have been nominated for a total of four GRAMMYs, as well as the Americana Music Association’s New Artist of the Year, and were named IBMA’s 2009 Emerging Artist of The Year.

Specializing in a unique mix of what might be called bluegrass soul, The SteelDrivers have become one of the biggest names in progressive bluegrass after making their debut in 2005. While there’s a strong traditional streak in The SteelDrivers sound, they bring a passion to their delivery that adds a distinctive flavor, and forceful grit adding undertones of country, blues, soul and rock.

The SteelDrivers are Richard Bailey (banjo), Tammy Rogers (fiddle), Mike Fleming (bass), Brent Truitt (mandolin), and Matt Dame (Guitar)

 

The Silver Dollar Showroom Sessions are a unique offering in Jackson Hole, pairing world-class entertainers in an intimate setting, with a delicious 3-course meal. Tickets, priced at $195 per seat, include dinner and the show, are extremely limited, sold by the table, or barstool, and go on sale July 17 (10am MT) at www.worthotel.com. Doors open at 6:30pm, followed by dinner at 7pm, and then the performance.
