Paul Izak Trio's unique style of music can best be described as a blend of Folk/Blues/Rock and Reggae.

Performing with Sam Ites & The MAADKiNG, the three weave conscious lyrics, soulful & adept instrumentation into memorable melodic medicine. Paul's music is rooted in a deep love for the earth and the growth of collective consciousness.

Born and raised on the Island of O'ahu, Paul has a tangible connection with the Hawaiian Islands which is reflected in his songs. A heartfelt passion for farming and yoga are integrated into his musical message which inspires a healthy and conscious lifestyle.

A family of medicine musicians and healers. Their music is all about unity and bringing the mind to a more heightened state in awareness of LOVE!

The Hawk & Hawthorne is a stunning 25 acres of rolling Appalachian valley, home to permaculture-style gardens, an intentional community of farmers, artists & entrepreneurs, and a 110-year-old heritage tobacco barn, where events, concerts & weddings have been held for 30+ years.

→ Non-alcoholic venue. Buchi Kombucha, kefir soda, and other elixirs will be offered at the bar. (Cash preferred; venmo/cards OK.)

→ Strict “No Dog” policy.

 

=== Important: DRIVING & PARKING INSTRUCTIONS ===

The Hawk & Hawthorne is about 20 minutes north of Asheville on i-26.

Parking is limited & carpooling is cool!

** GPS will direct you to the residential quarter. Please do NOT pull in or walk up the resident driveway on the right. **

→ From Asheville, drive north on 26 W / U.S. 19 toward Weaverville.

→ Take exit 15 for NC-197 / Jupiter / Barnardsville.

→ Turn right onto Highway 197 / Barnardsville Highway.

→ On your left, you will see White Pine Dr., followed by two blue dumpsters and a big open field. That’s the parking lot. Keep going about 100 yards until you reach the entry ramp on your left.

→ Lot is grass and can get muddy if it’s been raining.

→ Lot is unattended. Lock doors, close windows and do not leave valuables inside.

→ Walk up the wooden stairs, cross the road & head up the gravel driveway straight up to the Barn & box office.

=== VENUE POLICIES ===

→ Children must be attended at all times. Our land is hilly, wild and beautiful … the barn is beautiful … and 0% childproofed. Seriously – do not let tiny humans run free, as much as they want to (and as much as you want to let them!) ** No children in the Loft unless accompanied! **

→ RAIN POLICY: We will go on rain or shine!

→ BRING: Sun, rain & bug protection; picnic / yoga blankets or camping chairs for lounging & stargazing. Water bottles for pristine water from our newly tapped artesian spring.

→ DO NOT BRING: Dogs, alcohol.

→ NO SMOKING / FIRE: Absolutely no smoking, charcoal incense, or flame in the Barn. Fires must remain in designated pits and will be tended by H&H crew. * Fire Spinners MUST check in with the MC before beginning performance! * Properly dispose of all cigarette butts!

→ OFF LIMITS: The private residences & underside of the Barn. no. glad you caught that.

→ Ticks & Poison Ivy are prevalent here -- especially off the main paths. Be mindful if you choose to explore outside the Barn.

→ NO LIABILITY. The venue is not liable for any injury, lost property or malady sustained & has a liability waiver all new guests will be asked to sign.

→ REFUNDS & RESALE: Refunds are available up to 24 hours before doors open. If you are buying tickets from people online, please check with us to make sure they are genuine. Ticket scammers are becoming increasingly common on social platforms.
